this photograph reminds me of a photograph done by one of the NYTimes photographers... she had a picture of a woman's hands on her lap while she was wearing a blue dress.
I see tremendous resemblance between the two. The simplicity is what makes the photograph so powerful. Although the photograph is "simple" the details in the hand say it all and it all connects and relates to the background the hands are on
Powerful.
